A quick note...

Someone viewed this blog in Singapore. Singapore! Thank you, Singapore, I see you...in the way the Navi see one another.

Two things are clear to me:

1) Boys like collecting things, and fantasy football is a form of collection. First, we collect the players through the draft. We procure a set of these players and they are all our's and no one else's, which feels good. It is highly unlikely that in other leagues out there, there exist many exact duplicates of your exact team. For some reason, I find that to be supremely appealing.

2) Following football and its players' statistics transcends borders. Baseball may be the ultimate sport for stats, and other sports are interesting to watch for a variety of reasons, but when it comes to the sudden explosion of numbers that the NFL provides on weekends, fantasy football is unmatched. Being in your fantasy baseball league playoffs is terrific, but at this point in the season, with the stats coming in everyday for months, owners are used to seeing a HR or two, some good and bad pitching lines, and so on. As for football, what beats checking your team and seeing Arian Foster's two hundred plus yards and three touchdowns? Nothing, that's what. Even in Singapore, Arian Foster is badass.

Somebody out there is bragging about the Texans' running back.

It is your Mantasy. It is my Mantasy. But in this case, more than ever, it is our Mantasy.

I see you.
